It Was Written

The act of writing is the practice of harnessing the power of words from the intangible to impregnate the consciousness with fertile thoughts of freedom and fellowship. Once the ink has been released, the word is sewn. They are one. Their union only changed by deception and destruction.
Assertions and admonitions about language and the use of words are often overheard during lecture or in conversation with and about restless youth and adolescence. Perhaps a bit dated or antiquated in todays modern digital world; but their messages endure:
WORDS HOLD AND CARRY POWER.
Shapes and lines fall in to form characters. Characters obediently arrange themselves behind the intention of forming a word… then many words. The use of the right words, in the right order, at the right time; hold the power to create and the power to destroy. So much of our power lies in the words we choose to speak and not to speak. Words packed with real and genuine emotions are arranged and laid out to penetrate the air of disbelief. Words fueled with feigned integrity and authenticity are slung about from short hand notes to stoke and energize.

Words help us to define our expressions.
Words help to relieve us of our presence.
Words help us to give meaning to our voices.
One voice with 1000 words is inspirational and courageous.
A thousand voices with 1 word is cultural and contagious.
