When a single note or the drop of a beat compels you to close your eyes in the hopes of achieving some level of synesthesia, if only for a moment; to translate the glory of sound into a visual masterpiece. How do you manifest the sensation radiating at your core into something tangible? Relatable? Album artwork, music videos and interpretive dance are our extractions from the creative chaos that is music to achieve just this thing. Translating the shifting and holding of notes to express things unseen. The Listening Party Art Exhibition call-for-art is open to all mediums including: fine art, photography, various writing styles, and mixed media. Artwork for consideration will address the question “What is the relationship between your art and musical influence?” and “What does your sound look like?” The exhibition will open May 16th 2025 in Yonkers NY. This is a curated exhibition opportunity with free submission. Submission closes May 4th.
